In curation by Dr. Werner Kraus, Jim Supangkat and Dr. Peter Carey, an exhibition linking past and present aims to foster a deeper understanding of the cultural memories that allow Indonesians
to build up a picture of the past narrative and naturally develop its own image and identity. The exhibition is a continuation of the exhibition “Raden Saleh dan Awal Lukisan Indonesia Modern” organized by
Goethe-Institut Indonesien and in cooperation with “Galeri Nasional”, the State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia and the German Embassy in Indonesia in June 2012.
